Resources

“To blame my failures on the lack of resources is less about the lack of resources and more about my unwillingness to access those resources.”

Books

Book: Mindless Eating by Brian Wansink

Mindless eating

This was the very first book I read that introduced me to the concept of mindless/mindful eating. It's filled with findings from interesting experiments around food and why we eat what we eat. Very easy to read and highly recommended!

Eating mindfully

This book delves into mindful eating and what it is. It's broken down into short chapters with practical tips and exercises at the end of each. Very insightful, easy to understand, and relevant to daily life.

Slim by design

I liked "Mindless Eating" by Brian Wansink so much that I got my hands on this book. Here, he explores how our environment affects our eating habits and what we can do to be in control of the influences from our surroundings, whether we're at home, at work, or in a restaurant.

Kindle Oasis

Kindle Oasis E-reader

I've always preferred physical books. But since getting this as a gift, I'm a convert. With a Kindle, I can read multiple books at a time and it's easy to carry on the go. I bring it with me everywhere now. This is the model I use, but you can easily get the Kindle Paperwhite as a cheaper option.

Kitchen appliances

Braun MQ725 Multiquick Hand Held Blender

Hand held blenders are a must have appliance in my kitchen. They don't take up much space but they do so much. The chopper saves you time slicing up garlic, onion, and other vegetables; the blender is good for making smooth pastes, sauces, and soups; and the whisk helps with simple baking.
